Energy Work
Energy work is the intentional practice of assessing, cleansing, balancing, and enhancing one’s energetic field, often referred to as the aura, life force, subtle body, the luminous energy field. This process is rooted in the belief that individuals possess an energetic system that influences their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. By working with this energy, people can promote healing, release blockages, and cultivate a deeper sense of harmony and vitality.
John Murphy
Owner & Creative Director
John began his career as a Fashion Stylist after moving to Nashville in 1997. His first job in the industry was as a wardrobe assistant on a Garth Brooks video. After working in Nashville for nearly three years, he moved to LA and signed with the Fred Segal Beauty Agency, where he worked with a variety of actors and entertainers for Red Carpet Events, Award Shows, and Magazine Editorials. John went on tour with Rascal Flatts in 2005 and continued until 2011. After coming off the road, John decided to focus on building his own brand. He continues to work on various aspects of Art Direction within the Country Music Industry. Some of his past clients include Rascal Flatts, Sharon Stone, Jason Aldean, Easton Corbin, Jeremy Piven, Colin Farrell, Chase Bryant, Jackie Lee, Jo Dee Messina, Lindsay Ell, Jon Pardi, Caroline Bryan, Dustin Lynch, and Jon Pardi.
John began studying energy work in 2014 as a treatment for his own addictive behaviors. After working with various Energy Healers and exploring multiple modalities, he continued his own spiritual journey when he was introduced to Colleen McCann and Stephen Feely with the Pampamasayok Shaman School. Through the school, he’s been trained in the Q’ero line of Peruvian Shamanism and was certified as a Shamanic Energy Practitioner in 2017. He has since become one of the instructors and staff members of the school. John uses various modalities of energy work in his sessions, including both Shamanic and Theta Touch principles, along with multiple divination techniques, to give a well-rounded session and open pathways that allow the client to look at themselves and their lives in a new light.
Dennis King
Owner & Energy Practitioner
Over the past 25 years, Dennis has had a career in the service industry, with a good portion of that time dedicated to Hotel and Restaurant Management. For the past 15 years, Dennis has persevered in his work of both Property Management and Real Estate through The Wilson Group Real Estate services here in Nashville. Both of these careers have left him poised to continue helping others through his Energy Work.
Dennis began studying Peruvian Shamanism shortly after John, learning the value of the gifts that were bestowed upon him by Spirit. Like John, Dennis also uses Shamanic principles and Theta touch along with other modalities to achieve the desired energetic outcome, but his passion is working with his large collection of rattles, earning him his Shaman name of "Rattlesnake" King.
Home and Land Clearings
In addition to energy work that's grounded in the body, we also offer Home and Land Clearings. A Shamanic Home or Land Clearing is a practice designed to energetically cleanse and harmonize a physical space, to remove negative or stagnant energies and promote a sense of balance, peace, and renewal. Rooted in spiritual and cultural traditions, this process can vary widely depending on beliefs and methodologies but often incorporates rituals, tools, and intentions to transform the energy of the land.
Key Elements of a Spiritual Land Clearing:
- Setting Intentions: The process typically begins with setting clear and positive intentions, focusing on healing, renewal, and creating a space of harmony and abundance.
- Preparation: This may involve connecting with the land, observing its natural elements, and tuning into any energetic imbalances or blockages that might exist.
- Ritual Practices: Common practices include smudging with sage, palo santo, or other sacred herbs to purify the space, sound healing using bells, singing bowls, or drums to break up stagnant energy, and chanting or prayer to invite divine or protective energies.
- Engagement with Nature: Participants often honor the spirits of the land, such as nature spirits, ancestors, or elemental forces, through offerings, gratitude rituals, or meditation.
- Visualization and Affirmation: Visualizing light or positive energy flowing through the space, coupled with affirmations, helps to anchor the clearing process.
- Closing Ceremony: The clearing concludes with a moment of gratitude, sealing the intentions, and inviting ongoing protection and blessings for the land.
